1. Galtaji Temple
Galtaji Temple is one of the most popular temples and is situated 10 km from Jaipur city. Galtaji temple comprises of several small temples, kunds and springs. One of the most famous shrine at Galtaji is Ramgopalji temple which is also known as Monkey temple as a large number of monkeys reside there. Multitude of pilgrims throng to Galtaji to take holy dips in pious kunds.
2. Birla Temple
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, the Birla Temple in Jaipur is known for its grandeur and opulence. Constructed in 1985, the temple was built by Birla Groups of Industries amongst several other Birla Temples across India. The temple is built using white marbles and is surrounded by lush green gardens.
3. Shree Garh Ganesh
Built by Sawai Hai Singh II, the Garh Ganesh temple is located on Aravali hills near Nahargarh & Jaigarh Fort. This temple was constructed before Jaipur was established and is thus one of the most ancient temples in the city. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, and the idol is placed in a way that Maharaja could see it through binoculars from the Chandra Mahal of City Palace.
4. Kale Hanuman Ji Temple
Kale Hanuman Ji Temple is one of the oldest shrines in Jaipur and said to be 1000 years old. The temple is situated near Hawa Mahal, and houses an idol of Lord Hanumana that is black in colour. Hence the temple is known as Kale Hanuman Ji temple.
5. Govind Ji Temple
Situated at City Palace complex, this temple is dedicated to GovindDev Ji the incarnation of Lord Krishna. The idol placed in the temple was brought by Sawai Jai Singh II, from Vrindavan in 1753 followed by his dream of Lord Krishna. The idol is said to be the identical copy of Lord Krishna.
6. Moti Dungri Temple
Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the Moti Dungri temple is one of the ancient temples in Jaipur. Built in 18th century by Seth Jai Ram Paliwal, the temple is situated on top of a hill and is a popular tourist destination in Jaipur. Temple is constructed using lime stone and marble and the Ganesha idol placed in the temple is said to be 500 years old.
7. Khole Ke Hanuman Ji
Among one of the ancient temple, Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Temple is a popular pilgrim destination in Jaipur. The temple is situated at situated at Laxman Dungri in Jaipur. The temple is around 1000 years old and houses a giant idol of Lord Hanuman. The temple is named after Narwar Das Ji Ki Khol.
8. Shila Devi Temple
Another prominent temple in Jaipur is Shila Devi Temple. The temple is dedicated to Durga, whose idol was brought by Maharaja Mansingh from the eastern part of Bengal. The temple is situated in Amer Fort and is immensely beautiful with intricate carvings. The natural surroundings of Aravalli hills make the vicinity of the temple all the more appealing.
