Fukrey stars in Lucknow; asked city foodies to pair Pepsi with their favorite food

Lucknowites had their celebrity moment as Fukrey stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh were in Lucknow to celebrate the launch of Pepsi’s recently launched campaign ‘Kyu Sookhe Sookhe Hi’.

The event was organised at the iconic Dastarkhwan restuarant in Hazratganj which saw the presence of Lucknowi audience who were elated to have with them the Fukrey stars.

Mr. Rishi Raj Singh, Director Marketing, Pepsi, PepsiCo India  spoke about Pepsi recent campaign ‘Kyu Sookhe Sookhe Hi’ and said that as life is incomplete without friends, food is incomplete without Pepsi. Thus, Fukrey starts who are also friends proved to be best choice for the campaign.

The stars spoke about their love for the famous food of Lucknow, the Tundey Kebabs and Basket chat and how Pepsi adds more fun when we air it with our favorite food. Also, they spoke about their experience of working with Pepsi for the campaign ‘Kyu Sookhe Sookhe Hi’.

Pulkit said that he was excited to be in the city and it’s the grandeur of this Nawabi city and aroma of delectable kebabs that bring him back to Lucknow. Sharing his experience of working for Pepsi’s campaign he said, “It was fun working for a campaign that included my favorite things – food, friends and Pepsi.”

Next was Varun Sharma who is better known as ‘Chucha’ from Fukrey to speak about this rendezvous with Lucknow. He said, “For me, Lucknow is the perfect confluence of history, culture and food. The spirit of this city is unmatched and I look forward to speaking in the best that it has to offer during this visit.” Varun was excited to be part of Pepsi’s campaign and said that it was a great opportunity as it once again gave him a chance to share screen space with his friends.

The third star from the Fukrey series Manjot Singh had all praise for Lucknow. He was quoted saying that Lucknow is one of the most vibrant cities in India and he would definitely indulge in iconic food of the city. Talking about the campaign he said, “It was a perfect representation of my friendship with Pulkit and Varun. Whenever we catch up in real life, it’s over a meal. And that meal is always accompanied by Pepsi. After all, what’s a good meal, without a Pepsi?”

The event was abuzz with stars and Lucknowi fans who had dropped to meet their favourite stars. Lucknow indeed was the best place for this campaign as this is a city of foodies who are always exploring something new to eat and since summers are taking over one can’t think of eating without pairing it with a Pepsi.
